Pack Trip to Knoebles Grove & Amusement Park -- 8/21

When - Saturday August 21 the park is open that day from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.
Why – For the fun of it!

Ride Tickets

Group Tickets
We can qualify for a 20% discount on tickets if we purchase a minimum of $500 worth of tickets as a group. Tickets are sold in $5 and $10 books. Please look at the list of rides and gauge the amount of tickets you are interested in and forward your order to me. I will arrive ahead of time and purchase the tickets. I will then meet everyone in pavilion #1 where I will distribute the tickets. I will be there until 12:30, after that you may need to call my cell phone and we can pick a place to meet. 717-989-5681
I will need to have a check from everyone made out to the pack before I purchase the tickets. If I do not receive your check I will not purchase your tickets. I will hold the checks until after the 21st in case the weather is bad a the day is a washout. If you order tickets and want to cancel them at the last minute you will need to send me an email by 9:00 AM on the 21st. If I do not hear from you by this time I will go ahead with the purchase of your tickets and the pack will deposit your check.

If you bought tickets last year or sometime in the past bring them along. Knowles tickets do not expire.
Swimming Pool
There is a large swimming pool with diving boards and water slides. There is a separate admission to the pool and water slides click link for prices http://www.knoebels.com/swimming.asp Last year they allowed you to enter the pool area, leave and come back.

Picnic Lunch
We will meet to eat as a pack at 12:00 noon at pavilion #1. This will give everyone a chance to get to the park and allow the boys a chance to find friends. Lunch is what ever you bring. We pack a cooler for our family and let it at the pavilion for the day. We return for beverage breaks and snack through out the day. There are stoves for rent and electricity in the pavilion if you need it. If you want to grill your lunch you will need to bring one along.

Pack Pool Party, Monday, June 21, 6-8 PM
When: Monday, June 21st. 6:00 to 8:00 PM
What: Swimming, Ga-Ga ball, awards, and fun!
Webelos will take their swim test for their summer camp before the party starts (Contact your Den Leader Bob Devenney with any questions).

May Pack Meeting - Special Time - Special Event! (2 hours)
Our May Pack Meeting will feature a presentation by Officer Mike Gerace and his dog Cico! This is always a favorite meeting for the boys!
==>> The meeting will last a full two hours - 6 PM to 8 PM.
==>> Please bring lawn chairs for seating as we'll be meeting outdoors in front of the church.
We will start the meeting with a recognition of the Cub Scouts' awards and achievements.
Officer Gerace and Cico will then give an anti-drug presentation with a skills show by Cico.

The Overview includes information on the pilot, its results, what changes and how the changes benefit the Scouting community.

The change is supported by a new leader resource, the Den & Pack Meeting Resource Guide. This new resource contains all the information a den leader or Cubmaster needs to deliver the planned program.
